ClassTrack Privacy Policy

Introduction
This privacy policy applies to the ClassTrack app (the "Application") developed by Joshua Makes ("Service Provider"). ClassTrack is a behaviour tracking tool for teachers that works entirely offline and is offered as a freemium service "AS IS". The app contains no advertising and no analytics.
Information Collection and Use
ClassTrack does not collect or transmit any of the information you enter. All classroom data you input (e.g., student names, behaviour logs, or class data) is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to the Service Provider or anyone else.
The app may request access to device storage for exporting reports as PDFs, but those files stay on your device unless you share them yourself.
ClassTrack collects no personal information, no device identifiers, and no usage data of any kind.
Location Information
This Application does not collect or use your device's precise location data.
Third-Party Services
ClassTrack includes no advertising, no analytics, and no cloud syncing. There is no third-party service that receives any information from the app.
The only network activity in ClassTrack is the App Store or Google Play purchase flow, which is handled by Apple or Google directly.
If you choose to use the optional export or backup features, the app will request the permissions needed to save those files.
Subscriptions and Purchases
ClassTrack Plus is an auto-renewing subscription, available monthly or annually. Payment is processed entirely by Apple or Google — the Service Provider never receives or stores your payment details, your name, or your email address.
The app records only one thing on your own device: whether Plus is currently active and when it renews.
You can cancel at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. If a subscription lapses, ClassTrack returns to the free version and all of your classroom data stays exactly where it is — nothing is deleted, locked, or held back.
School and Board Licences
Where a school or school board licenses ClassTrack for its staff, the licence unlocks Plus on the teacher's device and nothing more. No classroom data, student information, or usage reporting is sent to the school, the board, or the Service Provider — the app has no mechanism to do so.
Photos and Images
ClassTrack lets you choose an image for a student's avatar and for your school's logo on exported PDF reports. On iOS, the file picker used for this can offer your photo library, which is why the app asks for photo access. Any image you choose is stored on your device only and is never uploaded.
Both features are optional — the app ships with a set of built-in avatars and works without a logo.
Microphone and Speech Recognition
ClassTrack offers an optional voice-to-text feature for writing behaviour notes. If you use it, audio is processed for speech recognition by the operating system's own speech service and the resulting text is placed in the note field. ClassTrack does not record, store or transmit audio. The feature is only active while you are dictating, and the app works normally without it.
Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all use of the Application at any time by uninstalling it. Your data remains on your device unless explicitly exported or deleted by you.
Children's Privacy
ClassTrack is intended for use by teachers and other adults, not by children, and is not directed at children under the age of 13. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the app contains no advertising of any kind.
Because all classroom data is entered by the user, it is the responsibility of the teacher or supervising adult to ensure student information is handled appropriately and in line with their school or district policy.
Security
ClassTrack does not collect or store your classroom data remotely. All such information remains on your device. It is your responsibility to protect access to your device to ensure data remains secure.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be revised as new features are added. If changes are made, the revised version will be included in the app update notes and published here.
